Opening Song: "What the Lord has done in me",      Pastor Francois

            (By Hillsong)

1)     Let the weak say, "I am strong"
Let the poor say, "I am rich"
Let the blind say, "I can see"
It's what the lord has done in me (x2)

Hosanna, hosanna
To the lamb that was slain
Hosanna, hosanna
Jesus died and rose again
 (x2)

2)     Into the river I will wade
And there my sins are washed away
From the heaven’s mercy streams
Of the savior's love for me

3)     And I will rise from waters deep
Into the saving arms of god
And I will sing salvation songs
Jesus Christ has set me free.

PROCLAIMING THE WORD OF GOD:

Responsive Psalm:                                                         UMH #798

When the waters saw you, O God, when the waters saw you, they were afraid, the very deeps trembled.

The clouds poured out water, the skies gave forth thunder; your arrows flashed on very side.

The crash of your thunder was in the whirlwind; your lightnings illumined the world

The earth trembled and shook.

Your way was through the sea, your path through the great waters; yet your footprints were unseen.

You led your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.

Scripture reading: (Exodus 14:13-14)                    From NRSV.

(v.13)"But Moses said to the people, do not be afraid, stand firm, and see the deliverance that the Lord will accomplish for you today; for the Egyptians whom you see today you shall never see again. (v.14) The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to keep still."

Sermon: "Stand Firm in Your Faith,"                        Pastor Francois

The Israelites make their way to freedom through the Red Sea while Egyptians pursuing them drown.

RESPONDING TO THE WORD OF GOD

Prayers Of The People:

O Lord free us from spiritual struggles even the actual virus called COVID 19. We confess our worry about appearances. We confess our inclination toward the easy path. Forgive us as we always murmuring like Israelites in the wilderness. We pray, and restore to us the joy of your salvation.

Please bless and strengthen your church around the world specially during this critical time of the global pandemic. May the faithful witness increase. Give us hearts to learn from those who, with wisdom, stand firm in Christ. Lord, in your mercy...hear our prayer.

We pray for all those suffering in United States and elsewhere from the coronavirus. Have mercy, Lord, and grant healing. We pray for all the medical personnel and the helpers working so hard to stop the spread of illness. Lord in your mercy...hear our prayer.

As a kingdom of priest, we intercede for the world. As the peace of Christ rules in our hearts, may that peace rule in the world. May peoples and their leaders find the way toward peace. We hear almost nothing but bad news. We pray for the unity in our country. May Peaceful relations rule. Lord, in your mercy...hear our prayer.

Lord we pray for both church members (Crandon and Argonne). We  pray for the community and those who are addicted to drugs and get involve also young ones. Please, God converted them to be your followers. Lord, in your in your mercy...hear our prayer.

We pray for grace, O Lord, to serve you as faithful witnesses. Let these words from Exodus penetrate our hearts and strengthen us walk in faith daily. We pray in the name of Christ, who taught us to pray...(Lord's Prayer)

Our Father, Who art in heaven; hallowed be Thy name.
Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread,
And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen

Offering

As we begin a time of offering our gifts and ourselves, consider the various organization, missions, and events that you are able to offer you time, talents, and money to during this time. The offering is a key part of worship because it reminds us that the God we have met this morning is a God on the move and a God at work in our world. Here are some links to click on that will direct you to several organizations that have online financial giving opportunities:

If you wish to make a financial offering by writing a check, offerings to both St. Luke's and Argonne should be mailed to the office at St. Luke's (301 South Lake Ave, Crandon, 54520) or dropped in the outdoor mail slot next to the side entrance to St. Luke's.

Gracious and Giving God,

in this time of pandemic and distancing

continue to use us and guide us
to care for your people.

All that we have,

all that we are,

and all that we give are because you have first loved us.

Bless all the work of our hands,

the investments of our time,

and the fruits of our labors,

so that we may embody and extend

your grace, love, and mission to all our neighbors.

In the name of Jesus Christ we offer ourselves and we lift up this prayer.

Amen.
